Here's a recipe for Mattar Paneer, a popular Indian dish made with peas and paneer (Indian cottage cheese):

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup paneer, cubed
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 medium-sized onions, finely chopped
  • 2 large tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Harichand Mattar paneer  masala
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute or two until the raw smell goes away.

  3. Add the tomato puree, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and Harichand Mattar Paneer  masala. Mix well and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.

  4. Add the frozen peas and cubed paneer to the mixture. Mix well and add salt to taste.

  5. Add 1/2 to 1 cup of water to the mixture and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes or until the peas are cooked and the paneer is soft and fluffy.

  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.
