Kadhai paneer is a popular North Indian dish made with paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and a flavorful blend of spices. Here's a recipe for making kadhai paneer at home:

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams paneer, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Harichand Kadhai Paneer masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai or a heavy-bottomed pan on medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.

  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.

  5. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, Harichand Kadhai paneer masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Add the bell peppers and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

  7. Add paneer cubes and mix gently.

  8. Cover the kadhai with a lid and cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat.

  9. Open the lid, mix gently and cook for another 2-3 minutes on medium heat until the gravy thickens.

  10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
