Ingredients:

  • 500g fish fillets (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2-3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chillies, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Harichand Fish masala powder
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they start to sizzle, add chopped onions and cook until they turn translucent.

  2. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chillies (if using) and sauté for a minute.

  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.

  4. Add all the spices - coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, Harichand Fish masala powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Add fish pieces and gently mix with the masala. Add enough water to cover the fish and bring to a boil.

  6. Reduce the heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes until the fish is cooked through.

  7. Add coconut milk and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or bread.

Enjoy your delicious fish curry!
